New shocks improve your car’s steering, stopping and stability!
We recommend that you replace your shocks every 50,000 miles. Shocks and struts are an important part of your vehicle’s steering and braking systems. Worn shocks aren’t only uncomfortable, they might be unsafe. They could compromise your vehicles steering, stopping and stability which could increase your chances of having an accident! Your shocks help distribute your cars weight over all four (4) tires, improving your handling while turning or cornering and they work with your tires to help keep them on the road, making your car more stable. Your struts also work with your brakes to help you stop up to ten (10) feet sooner at 60 MPH. Allow us to visually inspect your shocks and struts to determine if they are safe!
What are some symptoms of worn shocks? Poor steering response, stiffness or noise when steering; fluid leaks from the shock or strut body; excessive “nose dive” or instability when braking; your vehicle sways or leans on turns or when changing lanes; cupped, uneven tire wear; excessive vehicle bounce when going over a bump; harsh, bumpy or shaky vehicle ride.
If you suspect you need shocks or struts, please call us at 717-733-0722, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm to schedule your appointment for a visual inspection and bounce test! We will visually inspect your vehicle for any leaks and perform a “bounce test” to help determine the condition of your shocks.
